Where light becomes legacy

A private photography sanctuary for creators who demand more than four walls and a backdrop.

The moment you step inside, the air shifts. Sunlight spills through 14-foot arched windows, warming the reclaimed oak floors beneath your feet. The scent of juniper and aged leather lingers—subtle, grounding. Here, every surface has been chosen to disappear, so your work can take center stage. No distractions. No compromises. Just 2,800 square feet of quiet potential, waiting for your next shoot.

Juniperriverlane studio interior with natural light streaming through large windows

A sanctuary built for creation

Not just a studio. A space that feels like yours from the first click of the shutter.

🌿

The North Light Loft

A soaring 1,200 sq ft space bathed in Portland’s famed soft northern light. Two 14-foot arched windows frame the city skyline, while motorized blackout shades let you sculpt the light to your vision. The floor—a patchwork of reclaimed Douglas fir—adds warmth without competing with your subject. Perfect for editorial, portraiture, and large-scale commercial shoots.

🔥

The Terracotta Chamber

A smaller, more intimate space wrapped in hand-fired terracotta tiles from Oaxaca. The walls absorb sound, creating a hush that lets you hear the quiet hum of your camera’s shutter. A vintage clawfoot tub (yes, for shoots) and a hidden wet bar make this the ideal setting for boudoir, product photography, and moody still-life work. Temperature-controlled to 72°F year-round.

📸

The Gear Vault

No need to haul your own equipment. Our vault houses 3 Profoto D2 monolights, 5 Broncolor Siros 800s, and a fleet of modifiers—from 5-foot octabanks to honeycomb grids. Every light is calibrated to 5600K, and our grip package includes 12 C-stands, 4 boom arms, and a library of gels. Just bring your camera. We’ve got the rest.

The Green Room

A haven for talent and clients alike. Sink into a 1950s leather sofa while sipping cold-brew coffee from Stumptown (yes, we keep it stocked). A full vanity with Dyson hair tools and Aesop skincare ensures your subjects arrive on set camera-ready. And if the shoot runs long? Our fridge is stocked with local pastries from Ken’s Artisan Bakery.

🌀

The Cyclorama

A seamless 12x12x12-foot infinity cove, painted in Rosco’s ‘Soft White’ to eliminate harsh shadows. The floor—poured epoxy resin—reflects just enough light to lift your subject without creating hotspots. Ideal for e-commerce, product photography, and clean, minimalist portraits. Background paper in 12 colors is included in every booking.

🖥️

The Editing Suite

A quiet corner with a 27-inch iMac, calibrated to Adobe RGB (99% coverage). Dual BenQ monitors ensure color accuracy, while a Wacom tablet and Loupedeck+ controller speed up your workflow. Need to review footage on set? Our 65-inch Sony X90J 4K TV is at your disposal. All connected via 1Gbps fiber—no lag, no excuses.

🌳

The Rooftop Garden

When the weather cooperates (and in Portland, it often does), escape to our 800 sq ft rooftop oasis. Potted olive trees and lavender border a teak dining table, perfect for client lunches or a mid-shoot reset. The view? The Willamette River, framed by the Fremont Bridge. A rare slice of tranquility in the heart of the city.

🎤

The Soundproof Booth

For voiceovers, podcasts, or ADR work. Acoustic panels line the walls, and a Rode NT1-A microphone hangs from a boom arm, ready to capture crystal-clear audio. A pop filter and reflection filter are included, along with a Mac Mini loaded with Adobe Audition and Audacity. Because great visuals deserve great sound.

Designed for the details

Amenities that anticipate your needs before you do.

We’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to. From the moment you book, we’re behind the scenes—adjusting the thermostat, restocking the fridge, testing the gear—so you can focus on what matters: your craft. This is a studio that works as hard as you do.

Climate Control

Every space is maintained at a precise 72°F, with humidity levels kept between 40-50% to protect both your gear and your subjects. No more sweaty models or foggy lenses. Just perfect conditions, every time.

On-Site Parking

A private lot with 6 reserved spots for clients, plus a loading dock for easy gear transport. No circling the block, no parking tickets. Just pull in, unload, and start shooting.

24/7 Access

Need to shoot at 3 AM? Go for it. Our keyless entry system grants you access whenever inspiration strikes. The studio is yours—no questions asked, no extra fees.

High-Speed Internet

A dedicated 1Gbps fiber line ensures seamless file transfers, live streaming, and cloud backups. No buffering, no dropped connections. Just fast, reliable internet that keeps up with your workflow.

Kitchenette

A fully stocked kitchenette with a Breville espresso machine, a selection of teas from Smith Teamaker, and a fridge filled with local snacks. Need something specific? Just ask. We’ll have it waiting when you arrive.

Secure Storage

Lockable cages for your gear, props, and personal belongings. Each cage is climate-controlled and monitored by 24/7 security cameras. Your equipment stays safe, so you can focus on the shoot.

Gear that doesn’t quit

Pro-grade equipment, meticulously maintained and ready for your next masterpiece.

We don’t believe in ‘good enough.’ Every piece of gear in our studio is top-of-the-line, regularly serviced, and ready to perform at a moment’s notice. Because your vision deserves nothing less.

Profoto D2 Monolights

Three 1000Ws strobes with TTL and HSS, delivering consistent color temperature and lightning-fast recycle times. Perfect for freezing motion or overpowering ambient light. Includes 10-foot power cables and sync cords for flexible placement.

Broncolor Siros 800s

Five 800Ws monolights with wireless triggering and a 1/10,000s flash duration. The built-in RFS 2.1 receiver ensures seamless integration with your camera’s flash system. Ideal for high-speed sync and precise light control.

Elinchrom Octabank

A 5-foot octagonal softbox with a removable inner diffuser for soft, even light. The speed ring is compatible with both Profoto and Broncolor, making it a versatile choice for portrait and product photography.

Westcott Rapid Box

A 26-inch switchable softbox that transforms from a beauty dish to a softbox in seconds. The silver interior reflects light for a punchy, high-contrast look, while the white interior softens shadows for a more flattering effect.

Manfrotto C-Stands

Twelve heavy-duty C-stands with grip arms and sandbags, ready to hold lights, reflectors, or flags. Each stand is equipped with a 40-inch grip arm and a 5/8-inch baby pin for secure mounting.

Rosco Gels

A full library of Rosco Cinegel filters, including CTB, CTO, and diffusion gels. Whether you need to balance color temperature or create a dramatic effect, we’ve got the right gel for the job.

Sony A7R IV

A 61-megapixel mirrorless camera with a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system. Perfect for high-resolution stills and 4K video. Includes a 24-105mm f/4 G Master lens for versatile shooting.

DJI Ronin-S

A 3-axis gimbal stabilizer for smooth, cinematic footage. Compatible with the Sony A7R IV and other mirrorless cameras. Includes a focus wheel and a quick-release plate for easy setup.

A curated selection of shoots that define what’s possible within these walls.
